Italian Kitchen Caffe Pizzeria
64 Ingram Street, Glasgow, G1 1EX
Glasgow may be already teeming with Italian restaurants and with a name like Italian Kitchen one certainly does expect an all-pervading sense of rusticity, but step inside and you'll be surprised. The restaurant's clean lines with neatly arranged photo frames and cosy booth seating, for those seeking solitude, completes the picture of an upmarket, yet homely kind of place. Good Italian cuisine is all about fresh ingredients and the kitchen believes in preparing their own sauces and breads daily, so why not start with a crostini topped with smoked salmon and mascarpone and served with tomato and chive vinaigrette. For main course it could be a daube of beef slowly braised in a rich red wine sauce or chicken supreme stuffed with mozzarella di bufala wrapped in Parma ham in a rich Marsala wine sauce.Glasgow may be already teeming with Italian restaurants and with a name like Italian Kitchen one certainly does expect an all-pervading sense of rusticity, but step inside and you'll be surprised. REVIEWS OF Italian Kitchen Caffe Pizzeria
Pauline (12 October 2009)
I have been to the Italian Kitchen in Glasgow a few times. I first visited the Italian restaurant about a year ago, and now it is one of my favourite places to eat and enjoy a night out. The variety of fresh food is great and the wine is even better. It isn't the cheapest Italian meal but you are paying for the quality ingredients. I would recommend the Italian Kitchen.
