Izgara Restaurant Ocakbasi - Finchley Description
The name Izgara in Turkish translates as mixed grill in English and that is precisely what Izgara specializes in. This modern Turkish restaurant opened in 1999 in Finchley and has been a hit with the locals ever since. Dishes vary from Turkish style pizzas made using the finest freshly prepared flat breads as the perfect base, as well as plenty of vegetarian and fish and seafood based options. The majority of the menu though revolves around various kebab styles, all cooked to order on the specialist grill that are of the highest quality and reasonably priced.

I love this place. I am vegetarian and usually just order three starters rather than a starter and a main course. The do have vegetarian main courses but the starters are excellent. My favourites are the stuffed vine leaves, feta and parsley pastry, halloumi and of course the hummus. The fresh bread they give you at the beginning is lovely too.

The best restaurant we have been to both as a family group and as a couple. The food is very good; the staff and service are first class. Keep up the good work and great standards you have achieved.
