Jamies - Minories
119-121 The Minories, London, EC3N 1DR
Like siblings in a family, the four outlets of Jamies bar have both similarities and differences, making them attractive choices for a quick drink or a relaxed meal. The same standard of service is maintained across the branches, yet the chefs and managers are encouraged to be individualistic and are free to fix their own menus, vary the décor and hold unique activities. The wine list offers options for any mood or budget and diners can choose premium spirits, cocktails, beers and soft drinks from a comprehensive selection. Adding a special touch to their carte, Jamies has 'be good' wines with modest alcohol contents. They favour products made by responsible suppliers who practice sustainable grape growing and wine making methods, just as they source their produce from validated producers.Like siblings in a family, the four outlets of Jamies bar have both similarities and differences, making them attractive choices for a quick drink or a relaxed meal. Depending on the season and demand, they serve the best of British, Italian, Chinese, Greek and Indian cuisine. Look out for duck and port pâté or char-grilled Cajun chicken skewers with crème fraîche and balsamic glaze. Their special antipasti, sausage, mezze, traders, nachos and British cheese platters are available for sharing.
Mains might include hake fillet in crispy batter with hand cut chips, tartare sauce and garden peas, char-grilled 12oz rump steak, and sausages and mash. You could also opt for Jamie?s fish pie topped with buttered mash and melted cheddar, served with French beans.
The attractive desserts there include English cheeses, toffee profiterole cheesecake, as well as Armagnac, port and pudding wines.

REVIEWS OF Jamies - Minories
Jessica (31 December 2009)
I have just eaten at Jamies on the Minories and want to say what a fantastic time my three colleagues and I had. I had the pork in red wine and my colleagues had the burger and steaks. The food was really tasty and the girl who served us was lovely and very helpful whenever we asked for something. Even though we were full we couldn't resist a pudding to share - the sticky toffee pudding is amazing. I really recommend this bar if you are looking for reasonably priced, tasty food and great service.
