Joanna's

56 Westow Hill, Crystal Palace, London, SE19 1RX

Joanna's is South East London's most favoured destination for a spot of breakfast early in the day, or maybe a hearty brunch with friends later in the morning. Their delicious food is a big draw for lunch or dinner whether you're out with friends or simply want to have a good meal. For more than thirty years, this New York style brasserie has been bringing simple culinary delights to the Crystal Palace area, in an environment that is friendly and unpretentious. Go American as you opt for buttermilk pancakes and maple syrup or stick to the traditional Yorkshire pudding with roast potatoes and fresh vegetables for brunch. The à la carte could bring starters of king prawn tempura with soy, chilli and coriander sauce followed by a main course of rib steak on the bone with béarnaise sauce and fries.

The Joanna's hamburger is also an excellent choice and do leave some space for their passion fruit pannacotta with raspberry coulis. The wine list is eclectic, following a global pattern.

REVIEWS OF Joanna's

Pete Clack (5 March 2011)

We just had a cracking brunch at Joanna's. I had bacon, bubble and squeak and fried egg, my wife had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The stand out feature was the quality of the ingredients - both bacon and smoked salmon were very good. Service was a little sluggish but it's Saturday morning - time is on our side!
