Joe Rigatonis - Yarm

This is a French Style Bistro food with lunch and evening menus available. During the day it becomes a cafe serving tea, coffee, homemade sandwiches, cakes, bread, scones and teacakes. It has an informal atmosphere with spacious tables, cosy corners and friendly staff.

McCoys in Yarm is owned by McCoy brothers Eugene and Tom and Marcus Bennett. After over 25 years spent building up a formidable reputation at The Cleveland Tontine , McCoys in Yarm opened in September 2001.

You may have experienced their menus and fine way with food at establishments across the country. In the kitchen your food will be prepared by Head Chef Dave Patterson and Sous Chef Steven Raper who were originally trained by the Marcus and the McCoys.

Their dishes run the gamut from simpler choices such as burgers or pates, to the more sophisticated like roast loin of lamb, confit of onion and leek, chorizo sausage and sherry jus or salmon with spinach, asparagus, potato rosti and basil sauce.

However, it is sensibly priced, with good standards as one might expect from the McCoys, and it is a fun experience altogether, the sort of place that every neighbourhood could benefit from, but few are so lucky.
