Back in 1976, Jonathan West purchased what was then his parent's home and turned it into a warm and friendly restaurant. The business has grown from a small one dining room bar and restaurant to one of the largest dining establishments in Maine. A contemporary lounge atmosphere, 600-gallon fish tank and lovely gardens encourage customers to relax and enjoy the experience of spending time there.

Jonathan's menu offers a combination of traditional and new dishes, all created from sustainable foods and local produce whenever possible. Start with homemade New England clam chowder and baked artichoke hearts and cheddar cream, move on to caramelised salmon fillet, delicious lobster ravioli or grilled rib eye before signing off with chocolate mousse. Wines are available by the glass.

Live music concerts are hosted on a regular basis and the restaurant has entertained guests for over ten years. Several different wedding packages ensure needs are met well.
