Just St James Description
Created by Chef Peter Gladwin, Just St James is situated within an imposing former bank on the corner of St James's Street and King Street in London SW1. The striking classical Edwardian banking Hall is fused with a stylish and comfortable interior, and a scenic glass lift and sweeping staircase links the spacious dining room with the gallery, ideal for private dining. The main dining area is spacious and comfortable, decorated with fine paintings and sculpture and features a long glass topped bar running down the entire length of the room.
Gladwin's menu reflects his passion for great dishes from around the world coupled with the belief that food should be simple, visually stunning and delicious. The menu changes seasonally and features potted Cornish crab, Middlewhite pork terrine, free range chicken breast with seared foie gras, potato fondant and thyme sauce, and Aberdeen Angus beef fillet. Finally it won't be easy to pass up on a dessert of Bramley apple pie with Devon clotted cream, or white chocolate bavarois with stewed Marjorie plums.
