Karaam Lebanese Restaurant
71 New Broadway, Ealing, London, W5 5AL
Karaam is a modern Lebanese restaurant with tiled floors, burgundy walls and elegantly laid out tables, right in the heart of Ealing Broadway. It serves traditional Lebanese cuisine, the epitome of the Mediterranean diet, with a generous use of seafood, fresh fish, fruits and vegetables. These are baked, grilled or sautéed and have the signature flavour of garlic and olive oil. Begin your meal here with cold or hot starters, and in cold weather, you could opt for the light and aromatic chicken or lentil soup. Do try the grilled chicken wings in garlic sauce or potato cubes sautéed with coriander and garlic, topped with fried vegetables. The good old hummus made of pureed chickpeas with sesame oil and lemon juice is another option.Karaam is a modern Lebanese restaurant with tiled floors, burgundy walls and elegantly laid out tables, right in the heart of Ealing Broadway. Once your appetite is whetted for the main course, there is plenty of choice, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Try the sea bass harra, the mixed grill of lamb cubes, minced lamb and chicken cubes served with tomatoes and onions, or settle for the well loved kafta khashkhash - minced lamb, parsley and garlic, grilled on skewers and served with a spicy tomato sauce. The baked aubergine with chickpeas, spices, onions and tomatoes, served with rice, is a hearty alternative.
There are light and healthy vegetable and sides to go with your mains, as well as a range of sandwiches if you are looking for a quick bite. Karaam serves a range of Lebanese and international wines, and beverages including an unusual concoction of apple, carrot and ginger juice, amongst others. Select from their desserts and fresh fruit to finish your meal in style.
The restaurant offers couple and group menus and caters to large gatherings, when on request, it serves whole lamb. Karaam means generosity in Lebanese, and the owner, Samir Hamze takes care that diners here are treated like his personal guests. The philosophy here is 'One cannot think well, sleep well or love well if one has not dined well' so, get hedonistic and enjoy the excellent service and perfectly presented food.

REVIEWS OF Karaam Lebanese Restaurant
Mrs Abuzaid (22 June 2008)
We went to this restaurant for the first time last night, for a birthday celebration with friends. The service was impeccable and the staff, very courteous. The food was excellent and there was live entertainment by way of a belly dancer who came out to dance three times throughout the evening. We'd highly recommend this restaurant, and in terms of value for money, it was beyond our expectations. We would like to thank the staff for making this a memorable occasion. Hope to call on you again in the near future.

I have been visiting Karaam for over a year now and have had consistently tasty food, well presented and served. The meze selection at £30 for two is particularly good value as it includes a selection of starters, a main course and salad, dessert and tea or coffee - oh yes and a glass of wine or soft drink! I took my parents there and we had the special meze for four, which is £70 and includes a bottle of wine and even more types of starters than we had for two of us. A lovely place to eat – it’s almost my local now.
