Kaye Arms Inn & Brasserie Description

The Kaye Arms has been a family run business since 1971. Over the years the business has developed from just pub snacks to a more of the style of a gastropub. They only use fresh ingredients, and even make all their own bread, which they also sell to take away. They have a wide selection of wines and sensibly put a set mark-up on each bottle, there are always 14 wines by the glass, including a featured wine of the month.

We popped in on the way back from Wakefield. Just looking for a nice sandwich or quick pub meal. What a treat! The lunchtime menu was vast and very well priced for the quality of the food. I had the special of cheese soufflé; quite heavy for lunch but wonderful flavour. My nine year old daughter had the salmon fishcakes which she thoroughly enjoyed. My wife had a parcel of roast vegetables with some slow roasted baby tomatoes. All in all a great surprise find. The pub itself is a bit twee in its decor; it could do with a revamp. The toilets and facilities were very clean. I am looking forward to returning for an evening meal when I can savour a full 3/4/5 courses. Highly recommended.

I went here for my birthday, and it was wonderful. Fantastic vegetables and sauces, and a really imaginative menu. I loved it, and wish I could afford it on a regular basis!
