Kazan Description
The chefs at Kazan create dishes, which they believe faithfully represent the best of Ottoman cuisine. They are situated on Wilton Road, a five minute walk from Victoria Station. If you're wondering what the name of the restaurant means, a kazan is a large pot that was used by Ottoman travellers to cook food over open fires.
Rare herbs and spices are imported from the Anatolian region of Turkey and many of the recipes they follow were invented and perfected in the Sultan's kitchens at the Topkapi Palace, centuries ago. This infusion of history and taste is brought to life by their team of Turkish chefs. They are open daily from 12 pm to midnight.

I have eaten at the Kazan thrice, both at lunch, and dinner time. At all times the food, and service have been really good. The staff are helpful and polite without being intrusive. Dishes are imaginative, and authentic. The wine list is also good. This is a popular restaurant, and always seems busy so booking is a good idea. The dining areas are well decorated, and the toilets are very tastefully done up, including the table lamps.

We were in Kazan last month. I was really impressed with the quality of food, which was really great. I recommend this place.
