The catch phrase of this lively restaurant is 'the thrill of the grill', and it's difficult to improve on that, but some detail might be further encouragement to visit a place that clearly has tremendous customer appeal.

Parking, as in most other cities is never easy but here you should not have much difficulty, and with excellent business facilities, LCD TV, conference phone and wireless internet this is a real plus point. Banqueting and catering facilities on site tend to attract wedding receptions, graduation parties, product launches, networking events and birthday parties.

A general menu of truly gargantuan proportions is supplemented by the KO Kids Menu, and a lively takeaway for those heading for home. Tandoori lamb chops, lamb or chicken tikka, a full leg of lamb, the T-bone KO steak are but a small selection, sizzling on the grill with a blend of aromas guaranteed to galvanise the palate into action.

Amongst the speciality dishes are to be found nihari, a traditional Lahor dish cooked over a long period and served on the bone in curry sauce, garnished with ginger, coriander and green chillis, or the famed Karela ghost karahi, lamb cooked with fresh bitter gourd, with onions, tomatoes, garlic and ginger.

For any who find the thrill of the grill a bit over the hill there is always the Mediterranean chicken salad, fresh leaves with crisp peppers, cherry tomatoes, lightly spiced chickpeas and feta cheese served with warm slices of lightly flame grilled tikka chicken. Chinese cuisine is called into play with szechewan chilli chicken, chilli king prawns and Shanghai chicken wings.

From Chinese it is but a short step to another cuisine that does not escape the treatment, starting with plain chicken or lamb curry, through a tasty chicken peshwari karahi, and culminating in shahi gheinga masala, king prawns with a hint of onions, garlic, ginger and chillies, but in quantities sufficiently discreet not to mask the taste of the prawns.

Vegetarians are by no means overlooked, and as so often with cuisines from afar they make imaginative use of fresh vegetables in dishes such as bhindi bamiya, okra cooked with fried onion, garlic and ginger sauce, or the simple palak aloo, spinach and potatoes cooked in a masala sauce. Looking for a nice mild biriyani? Choose from five such dishes, including vegetables, or take the high road with a king prawn version. The children, what do they get? KO Chicken nuggets are homemade, coated in breadcrumbs and served with fries, half a grilled chicken spit-roasted, chargrilled, then served with fries, followed by fruit shoot, milk or fresh orange juice.,

And if you thought 'the fight was o'er, the battle won', spare some space for the desserts, incredible value from £1,95 to £2.75, including some wicked American chocolate fudge cake, and the famed ghulab jamuri, a warm deep fried milk sponge served with golden syrup.

Drinks of KO fruit smoothies, or a selection from the juice bar provide a cool alternative to the likes of latte machiatto, dood patti chai or a strong espresso. Though they operate a BYOB policy so you can take your own alcoholic drinks along, and the good news is that there is no corkage charge.
