I would have to agree with ‘The Fairy’. We had a fantastic time at The Kimberley recently and will definitely be going back. The food was fantastic and staff very welcoming. I also met the landlord, and he seemed very pleasant and was eager to help out wherever he was needed. They are a very good team providing great service and great food. I can understand why the landlord would be very wary of who he wants in his very respectable establishment.

The Fairy (10 September 2008)

I went there the other month for dinner with my partner and had to say my experience completely contrasted that of those who have already commented. I certainly had no problems with any of the staff or landlord; all were very friendly and helpful to me. I did however enjoy a fantastic dinner. We enjoyed fresh mussels as starter and the fish and chips and lobster as main course. I asked for a glass of tap water and this was no problem. Maybe those who are drinking three glasses of tap water and sharing one meal might face a bigger problem. I wonder why? Anyway it was a fantastic evening with a table outside and with views overlooking the bay and delicious food. What more could you want?
