King's Head
Holt Road, Letheringsett, Holt, NR25 7AR
Located just outside Holt close to the road junction on the A148 that leads down to the coast and Blakeney, the King's Head is unashamedly a family place, where free and easy rules. Which is not to say that serious adult food is not available - far from it. The old Georgian house sits well in a sylvan landscape, close to the former mill, with ample parking and a large garden in which musicians 'make the wrekin' ring'. The result is a relaxed al fresco atmosphere that appeals to those on holiday and locals alike. A wide range of decent snacks or light meals is always available. For those looking for something a touch more filling select from tempura king prawns with sweet chilli sauce and mixed salad followed by main courses of crisp sea bass on sauté potatoes with olives, red onions, garlic and basil pesto.Located just outside Holt close to the road junction on the A148 that leads down to the coast and Blakeney, the King's Head is unashamedly a family place, where free and easy rules. Puddings are delectable with the likes of kiwi and passion fruit pavlova and there is always an interesting array of local beers and wines.

REVIEWS OF King's Head
Kay (7 November 2008)
We went to this pub and took my mother-in-law. I ordered scampi, which was of a very poor standard. My mother-in-law ordered lasagne, and received a plate of chips with a solid lump of over cooked lasagne on top. My husband came off best as he ordered a ham salad. The landlord was overbearing to the point of distraction. We didn't complain, which was a mistake but we just wanted to get out as quickly as possible. My mother and father went in on a separate occasion, and had the most appalling meal. None of us will ever return. It was extremely disappointing considering their claims of so many awards.
Dawn Pinson (20 July 2008)
We had a very disappointing meal. They offered to adapt a menu to cater for vegans in our party - so we were full of hope. The vegan meal, which was an adaptation of mushroom stroganoff, turned out to be deep fried mushrooms on top of a plate of plain boiled white rice. We also had a frizzled mixed grill, and a spicy vegetable stir fry - potato and frozen vegetables encased in chilli powder. We may have been unlucky but I don't think so. The landlord was very hospitable and that was the only reason we didn't complain - although we really should have.
