Kings Head, The Description
Here is one of the bastions of preserved values. Formerly a 17th century inn the Kings Head offers a wide selection of classic dishes amidst elegant and well-staffed surroundings. This has all the hallmarks of a flagship operation and the ambience of secure and confident comfort offered is inescapable. An excellent and well chosen wine list, with house wine at £18.50.

I have eaten at the Kings Head once and would be returning whenever I could. The food is sublime and the effort put in to the restaurant is first class. From the moment you walk in you are looked after until you leave. It’s an amazing place to treat yourself for a meal, and I can highly recommend the beef medallions that are flambéed at your table with pepper corn sauce. It’s amazing!

I have eaten at the Queen’s Head many times and the environment is relaxed. I love the way that when a table is booked it is yours for the evening, and no one is rushing you out of the door for the next lot of people. The food is fantastic and I love the way that you can order Champaign by the glass. You are not interrupted every five seconds. All in all, what can I say it is a fantastic restaurant? It’s my favourite. It’s always a treat to eat there.
