Kirks Restaurant

The Three Horseshoes Inn is a thoroughly busy place with a downstairs carvery and brasserie, generating a good zing factor, and upstairs is Kirks Restaurant, well-known for its traditional Sunday lunch and theme and party nights.

Superb views over the surrounding countryside will be your reward for wending your way to this part of the Peak District National Park. Although the food is very recognisably British, it is easy to see that heed has been paid to the British tendency for things Far Eastern.

Whatever your choice - and there's plenty of it - you will find generous helpings and brisk, friendly service. The menus could change depending on the occasion but always offer a great choice of dishes ranging from starters of charred lamb salad served with a Thai dressing or terrine of chicken, rabbit and pigeon with a fig and cherry chutney, to a main course of cod steamed in banana leaf or roast sirloin of beef with a Balmoral whisky sauce.
