Kisii Restaurant
Whitley Bay Metro Station, Station Road, Whitley Bay, NE26 2QY
In the hustle-bustle of the fast food era, it isn't everyday that one runs into a place like Kisii where dining is relaxed and the customer never hurried to vacate the table. Everything from the decor and food, to the preparation and service, rhymes with the Indian-East- African theme. Even the incense sticks in the corner, lend an aura of intrigue, building up the anticipation for the cuisine from the enchanting East. A family-run business, Kisii does more than just offer ready-made solutions to curry cravings. It takes traditional Indian dishes and adds East-African touches, thereby creating a whole new genre in world cuisine. The bhusi kheema tikki - lamb burgers with onion and coriander, kuko aloo - chicken breast and potatoes in masala sauce and jyanga pakora - king prawns coated in a spicy batter are only a few of the exotic preparations available.A family-run business, Kisii does more than just offer ready-made solutions to curry cravings. With ample choice for vegetarians, the restaurant is ideal for anyone with a penchant for adventure in dining.

REVIEWS OF Kisii Restaurant
J B Singh (7 November 2009)
We got to know about Kisii from friends who visit the restaurant on a frequent basis. As Asians there are not many places in the North East where an Asian family can go out for a decent meal. We went as a party of eight and were more than happy with the food we had and the service. It was home style cooking and we thoroughly enjoyed our starters and main courses. Most importantly it catered for the vegetarians. We even took home what was left and it was that good. We will go there again and as Asians we can cannot recommended a better place to eat in the North East than Kisii.
