KK Restaurant

28 The Broadwalk, Pinner Road, Harrow, HA2 6ED

There are not many restaurants where you could see cassava and sweet corn juxtaposed with onion bhaji and chilli paneer, a quirky combination, but KK Restaurant breaks new ground by offering Indian food with a Kenyan twist. The vegetarian menu opens with starters of KK mogo or cassava cooked in a specially blended hot and spicy sauce, and vegetable stuffed pastry. Much-admired favourites include the bupi paneer, the chef's innovative take on cottage cheese, closely challenged by the mushroom and corn curry. For the non-vegetarians a pilli-pilli, sesame or Oriental chicken may appeal or the jeera wings cooked in cumin, and main courses could reveal minced lamb with peas and tandoori fish.

Peshwari and garlic naan make an interesting accompaniment, and if you like to spice it up a bit further choose a bullet naan or green chilli bread baked in a clay oven. The wine list is impressive too with several whites and reds designed to blend with the flavours and spices of Indian cuisine.

REVIEWS OF KK Restaurant

Monika (22 March 2009)

This place has great tasting food, with a comfortable atmosphere, I especially like the lamb chops. I like going to KK as the staff are very friendly and they make you feel at home.

Govind Lol (12 January 2009)

I've been to this restaurant; the food is one the best places in Harrow for quality, no-frills Indian food. It's a good place to watch sports, although could do with a refurbishment.
