No longer really a pub, more a good-class restaurant, which offers a good all-round menu. The place is full of dark oak and atmosphere, some of it culled from surrounding properties over the centuries, while the main restaurant is in a light
and airy Victorian style conservatory. There is an emphasis on fish fresh from the marketplace but other delights are in abundance as well, such as British classics and the chef's seasonal menu.

They also have nine bedrooms in the flowery cottage garden which are all double or twin size en-suite. They have central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, with fresh milk and homemade biscuits, satellite TV, radio, direct dial telephone with modem connection, hairdryer and refrigerator.

All bathrooms have baths with power shower attachments. The three de-luxe rooms in the converted stable block are more spacious with a trouser press and individual decor and furnishings.
