La Bonne Auberge
161 West Nile Street, Theatreland , Glasgow, G1 2RL
I suppose they know what they are doing but it continues to puzzle me why the large hotel chains sometimes do not do more to promote their eating facilities, particularly when they are as good as those offered by the Holiday Inn, Glasgow. Featured as La Bonne Auberge the restaurant takes a brasserie attitude with a pronounced French/Mediterranean inclination. The influx of non-hotel guests makes for a high buzz factor, with the customary lunch and pre-theatre meal deals showing up well. After nine years of operation, the restaurant remains one of the favourite eateries in the city. It places a strong emphasis on service, and provides an ever evolving menu. Their steaks are notable, and such dishes as venison with pea puree and Cajun spiced salmon fillet sit comfortably with more traditional fare.I suppose they know what they are doing but it continues to puzzle me why the large hotel chains sometimes do not do more to promote their eating facilities, particularly when they are as good as those offered by the Holiday Inn, Glasgow. REVIEWS OF La Bonne Auberge
Lynsey (13 August 2009)
It is a great restaurant and great food and I even got a 17.5% discount when I signed up to the Loyalty Club.
Yvonne (13 August 2009)
It is a fabulous restaurant with great service and amazing food at a good price. Maître d' recommended a fabulous bottle of Cote Du Rhone wine with our meal which was also great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would also do ladies lunch events which I will definitely be signing up for.
