Probably the nearest that London comes to creating an authentic, bustling Parisian brasserie, with all day service until late in the evening. If you are staying in London, forget about that standard hotel breakfast, pop down instead to La Brasserie for an authentically French experience, with all the newspapers on hand as well. The breakfast menu takes in pain au chocolat, mixed berries compote with Greek yogurt, natural cured haddock, topped with a poached egg, and the classic croque monsieur or madame.

As you might expect, it provides classic French food, from French onion soup through to Dover sole meunière and boeuf bourguignon; they offer a large choice of salads as well. They have expanded from the original area and  it is now one of the largest restaurants in the Brompton Cross area, and always seems to be packed no matter when you go there.

The South Kensington residents would certainly be lost without 'La Brasserie', as it has now become something of an institution, and they find it a terrific place to go for a meal at any time of the day.
