La Bruschetta Description
Chef/Proprietor Giovanni Cariello offers non-nonsense authentic Italian food at La Bruschetta using the traditional materials that have made it one of Britain's favourite imported cuisines, and nowhere more so than in Scotland.
If they have a speciality it has to be fish, fish from the cold waters surrounding Scotland primarily, transformed into very recognisable dishes with skill and the confidence that comes from long association with your subject. Service is paced and friendly, affording time for appreciation of what has been, coupled with contemplation of what should come.
Their lunchtime bistro menu is popular, and at £7.50 so it should be. The proof of any restaurant's worth is the number of spare seats that can be seen at any time and you will not see many at La Bruschetta, yet another reason for making a reservation.

* our favourite Italian restaurant
* unfailingly high standard of food
* attentive service without being "fussy"
* small - but intimate atmosphere
* occasionally gets noisy as is small - but I genuinely cannot think of any other negatives.
* getting a table feels like a "result"!
