La Caricatura
33 North Audley Street, London, W1K 6ZQ
La Caricatura is an Italian restaurant that aims to provide the British public 'Naples on a plate'. What sets it apart from the many other pizzerias is the authentic imported fresh Italian ingredients used to create a unique taste experience. They create their edible masterpieces in a specially imported hand-built wood burning pizza oven that reaches temperatures of 500 degrees to make the perfect pizzas...including what they claim is the most expensive one in the world! And that's not all, many of the usual favourites - such as quattro formaggi, Siciliana and primavera - can be had for less than £10, and there's also a range of pastas and salads, along with Mediterranean style char-grilled meat and fish.La Caricatura is an Italian restaurant that aims to provide the British public 'Naples on a plate'. And that's not all, many of the usual favourites - such as quattro formaggi, Siciliana and primavera - can be had for less than £10, and there's also a range of pastas and salads, along with Mediterranean style char-grilled meat and fish. All of this is set in a typically elegant Mayfair environment but with a genuinely homely Italian atmosphere, making all feel welcome, whether dining on business or as a family. The unusual presence of a large skylight floods the restaurant with natural light, perfect for those summer months, while the colourful array of famous people's caricatures, that adorn the walls of the restaurant, is another added bonus.
It is a little difficult to judge the Average Cost per Head, as a simple pizza and a glass of wine could come to under £15, but a full blown meal in the evening could run to nearer £35 per head.
