La Galette Description

La Galette is famous for its appetizing Breton style buckwheat crepes. Although there are a range of tempting starters such as scallops au gratin and a soup de jour, it is the crepes that really sell this place. Savoury options includes fillings as diverse as simple bacon and cheese, or spinach and cheese, whilst more adventurous appetites can opt for smoked bacon with creamed leeks and parsley, or wild mushrooms and crème fraiche. Sweet versions include anything from chestnut cream, caramel, maple syrup or pears poached in Breton cider with vanilla ice cream. Crepes cost between £3.50 and £9 depending on the filling and make the ideal place to stop off for a quick but tasty treat.
