Part of a very smart new development, and housed in what is known as the J shed, an incredible listed building on the Kings Road in Swansea. The interior is richly decorated, cunningly lit and generally conducive to a good night out. Although the menu is authentic Italian it has not stopped Head Chef John Robbin from calling upon some of the more traditional local ingredients and dishes, including the celebrated lava bread served with cockles. Fresh produce includes snapper in rock salt, baby milk lamb chops, and baby suckling pig. All told just short of 300 people can find space to eat and drink and a busy future is forecast for this trendy night spot.Italian, Spanish

30Th December 2009, For my friends 21st birthday 22 of us had booked for la parilla. On arrival we were early but were still seated promptly, all drinks orders were taken and served within 10-15 mins, the food Que was a bit of a pain, however it was good to see the fine choice of meats. Food was served in adequate time and was impeccable. The dessert menu wasn't the most exciting, however we had birthday cake so all was well. Service was excellent food was delicious so brilliant overall.

Four of us went to celebrate a friend's birthday today. We got there at 12 and each chose the £8.95 lunchtime two course special. We had an excellent table overlooking the water, the service was prompt and the food excellent, the moules mariniéres were especially good. We all enjoyed our meal, my steak was actually rare, as requested, which was a lovely surprise. Our only small quibbles would be why only coffee available to drink and the lack of vegetables with the main course. We would have liked to substitute a salad for our compulsory but unwanted potatoes. So overall a good experience and it's worth getting there early.
