La Poule au Pot - the best authentic and real French restaurant in London! I've been going to this restaurant since I was a child with my Maman and dined again for lunch almost fifteen years and later last week with a friend, who's maman also used to take him there. We basked in the delights of the rustic brown bread served in wicker baskets, the rustic pitchers of water, the freshly cooked salmon and the traditional French peas, ham and onions served with the vegetables. It was all flawless. The cheese platter is again too big a portion, but we didn't complain, it was served correctly with a knife and fork and not with grapes! The wine was a delight and the dessert wine accompanied the brie perfectly. All in all, it felt as I was back home in France.

I have been lucky enough to have visited this gem of a French restaurant on several occasions. The quality of the food is always excellent as is the service and staff. It's a great place to go as you are never disappointed.
