La Rueda - King's Road

642 King's Road, London, SW6 2DU

The first La Reuda restaurant opened its doors in Clapham in-mid 1980, way before Clapham became a buzzing area with its fabulous bars and restaurants. La Rueda remains a popular restaurant among locals and visitors with many happy customers returning to enjoy the hospitality as well as excellent food. The King's Road restaurant offers a blend of enjoyable food, Spanish culture and good times to its guests. Spanish cuisine consists of a great variety of dishes which stem from differences in geography, culture and climate. It is heavily influenced by seafood available from the waters that surround the country, and reflects its deep Mediterranean roots. Chef's recommendations include dishes such as pulpo a la gallega - Galicia styled octopus, and fillet of beef with Dijon mustard caramelized brandy and cream.

REVIEWS OF La Rueda - King's Road

Gary (2 December 2008)

All the food is nothing short of wonderful. However just ask for a large plate of lamb cutlets to start, and I guarantee you will ask for more. I have been there many times, and will do so again and again. The downside is that it gets very busy and can be a little frantic; all part of the fun though.

Frizzyquin (11 January 2008)

This is an excellent tapas restaurant with authentic tapas, which are tasty and leave you wanting more. You can choose from very reasonably priced tapas, which are good sized portions, or you can reserve a table for a more a la carte selection of food which is served to an excellent standard. I would highly recommend the monkfish and the paella. The atmosphere is relaxed, and most Friday and Saturday nights, tables are cleared for a bit of dancing. It is a place I return to time and time again, and have introduced many friends to, who have really enjoyed it.
