La Trompette
5-7 Devonshire Road, Chiswick, London, W4 2EU
Considered to be one of the finest London restaurants to open in 2001, La Trompette is thought to be very posh nosh in Chiswick, though given the reputation that they have built up very quickly, it is not surprising that their clients come from far and wide, rather than from their front doorstep. It is greatly to their credit that in under three years they achieved the top AA Restaurant Guide Award of Restaurant of the Year in England, and then gained a Michelin star in 2007. La Trompette is a horse from the same stable as Chez Bruce and The Glasshouse in Kew, their menu is primarily French and no-nonsense, served in a setting that is both modern and restful. Often you can tell the quality by the little things and the bread there is dreamy.Considered to be one of the finest London restaurants to open in 2001, La Trompette is thought to be very posh nosh in Chiswick, though given the reputation that they have built up very quickly, it is not surprising that their clients come from far and wide, rather than from their front doorstep.

La Trompette is a horse from the same stable as Chez Bruce and The Glasshouse in Kew, their menu is primarily French and no-nonsense, served in a setting that is both modern and restful. Often you can tell the quality by the little things and the bread there is dreamy. The cooking displays well-reined-in imagination.
They have an interesting wine list, including many by the glass, with an emphasis on France but with well-chosen examples from as far apart as California, New Zealand and Italy.

REVIEWS OF La Trompette
Dr Penny Law (14 March 2010)
We discovered La Trompette after coming to live in Chiswick, what a revelation, now we don't need to go up to the West End for a great meal. No wonder that they have a Michelin star, it is well deserved. Try their deconstructed Black Forest gateau for dessert, and be prepared for a delicious surprise. The service from genuinely friendly staff is excellent, whilst their sommelier has an unusual depth of knowledge, and some of their wines are surprisingly reasonable for a top notch establishment.
James (10 September 2004)
A great place for special occasions. Small, comfortable, relaxed dining room and great service. Wide range of interesting food.
