Lagar Restaurant

Portuguese cuisine is not all that common, so it's exciting to see Lagar Restaurant bring the exotic fare of this land to Radlett with such wonderful enthusiasm and flair. There's a comforting vibe about this family run eatery where guests can enjoy some marvellous seafood and fish dishes, prepared from only the freshest ingredients with a superior level of skill. The decor is kept simple but elegant with plain walls carrying sepia photos of Radlett from the days of yore to lend a nostalgic feel.

The menu features tapas such as fried whitebait or pan fried calves liver with onions while the regular à la carte promises starters of king prawns, garlic and chillies in white wine and butter sauce. Main courses could include beef, chicken and cured bacon with onions and peppers on a Portuguese skewer or king prawns in a piri piri sauce. Wines at Lagar are from Portugal and complement the meal expertly.
