Laguna Tandoori Description
From north to south, Indians follow many different cooking styles and there are no prizes for guessing that the tandoori style is most certainly the best known. In Mount Street, Nottingham, the Laguna Tandoori restaurant pays homage to the traditional clay oven it calls 'the most versatile kitchen equipment in the world'.
Diners from Nottingham and beyond enjoy home-style food from the North of India in a spacious and tastefully done up interior. The dishes are created using fragrant herbs and spices and have a distinct aroma that cannot come from commercially available curry powders.
A meal there could begin with tandoori starters of seekh kebab, fish tikka or succulent tandoori chicken. Among main courses, the 'delicacies for the connoisseur' section presents the exotic lamb Shahjehani created with assorted fruit and herbs, while the chef's recommendations include a buttery chicken makhni. Close to ten different traditional Indian breads complement the food.

I have been to the Laguna every year since they opened in 1976, and have always enjoyed the best food and service anywhere that I have ever been in the world. In particular, the chicken tikka is heavenly. My only problem is that Laguna spoils you for anywhere else, as they set a standard which is unequalled!

My wife and I and many of our friends, have eaten at the Laguna since its opening in Nottingham over 25 years ago. The food is always of the highest standard, the attention of the members of staff, to detail and service, cannot be faulted and Tony who owns the restaurant can only be complimented on his training and management skills, which have never faltered in all our years of such pleasurable eating. Long may they last.
