Nestling in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, the Springs Hotel, with which the Springs Golf Course is closely connected, is a fine example of a Victorian Tudor-Style Country house. Built in 1874, it overlooks a spring-fed lake in its own majestic gardens. You could enjoy a meal or spend a relaxing night there following your exertions on the golf course. The 2 AA Rosette Lakeside Restaurant has an intimate atmosphere inspired by its gentle décor and a lovely view of the lake. On first impressions The Springs can be described as nothing short of charming. It’s a huge building, has the grand feel of 1880’s, and the interior is also something to behold. After a nice drink in the lounge next to the open fire, we entered the Lakeside Restaurant and were stunned by the splendid view. Each table in the restaurant overlooks the lake. As regarding the food and service it was exceptional as well. Simple dishes with plenty of taste served by kind and helpful waiters together with the ambience and charm of the place, that's enough for me to return to The Lakeside sooner rather than later.
