Lakorn Thai Description

This small Thai eatery could easily be overlooked because of its size but investigate further and you'll find that this is a friendly little place that's well worth discovering. The décor is simple minimalist stuff but the menu really goes to town with an excellent choice of classical Thai dishes, as well as more adventurous recipes for those looking for something a little different. Lakorn Thai is particularly good value for money if you opt for one of their set menu lunch or dinner options, otherwise you can expect to pay a standard £5-£8 per main course; they also run a popular takeaway service.

Your Reviews of Lakorn Thai

SY (22 December 2008)

I had dinner before a show at Sadlers Wells, though I never actually got to eat. My two friends had both finished their meals and I still had not received mine. I was rudely told that the curry was made fresh and so takes longer - not an encounter I have found in other Thai restaurants. The management are so rude I would avoid at all costs.

Laura Farmer (21 September 2007)

Absolutely awful, first they brought me the wrong meal, but when the right one had arrived I wish I'd gone with the first option. I ordered rice cooked in a pot with chicken, sausage and mushroom. It was dry boiled rice, plain flabby bits of chicken, barely cooked chunks of mushroom, and the piece de resistance - chopped up frankfurters. Then the whole thing was covered in soy sauce resulting in a ridiculously salty experience. My date ordered spicy chilli beef and got scraps of meat dripping in soy sauce and sesame seeds. The meal cost £8.50 but was not worth 50p. For the love of food - do not go there.
