Lalezar is an exquisite upmarket restaurant serving authentic Mediterranean cuisine with an emphasis on exotic flavours from Turkey. The name is derived from a tulip referred to as "Lale" which sultans from the Ottoman's era believed to be a gift from god. Owned by Khateejeh Basaran-Birson, aka "Miss Lalezar", the venue has successfully introduced lesser known tastes from Europe and Asia.

Start with finely chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, scallions and parsley tossed with extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice and vinegar, and char-grilled eggplant, filled with sautéed onions, peppers, garlic and roasted pine nuts. For main course order ground lamb with onions, red peppers, and garlic, flavoured with Turkish seasonings, and fillet of Atlantic salmon seasoned and broiled and served with vegetables. Baked shredded wheat, stuffed with chopped walnuts, flavoured with cinnamon and vanilla syrup, and garnished with walnuts will end the meal on a sweet note.
