Lamb Inn, The Description

The Lamb Inn is a part thatched village pub, dating back over 400 years, offering a varied menu, with everything prepared on the premises at reasonable prices. It is predominately a village pub that offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to both local people and visitors. There are three distinct bars and large gardens, including a separate children's play areas.

The dishes are fairly simple and straightforward, offering choices such as devilled whitebait or farmhouse pate served with warm toast, followed by homemade beef and Guinness stew, grilled swordfish steak or chilli con carne.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Oxford having found The Lamb on your website. It proved to be a good choice. The welcome was very warm and helpful. There was a very varied choice of menu on the specials board, all reasonably priced, and together with the standard lunch menu, one would find it difficult to not find something to suit all tastes. We both chose meatballs with tagliatelle and it was obvious that both items were homemade. It was delicious and accompanied by garlic bread. We gained the impression that much of the menu was homemade. We shall go again.
