Lamb, The Description

Antony Worrall Thompson's latest venture, a beautiful and intimate 17th Century pub in the heart of Oxfordshire, dedicated to real food and real ale for real people. Only the freshest ingredients are used to produce 'dishes that mum used to make', good old fashioned British dishes like shepherds pie, game pie, casseroles, stews (with a slight nod to the rest of the world). No dish is more than £10 and they operate a no booking policy, just drop in when "the stew moment grabs you", this is not a gastropub with fancy prices, this is for real.

The first time we visited we found this restaurant by chance. It was a bank holiday and some of the items on the menu were sold out. However, the food was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. We have been there several times since and were never disappointed.
