Lamora

1166-1170 Argyle Street, Glasgow, G3 8TE

Located close to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Lamora is a fairly new entrant to the Glasgow dining scene. The restaurant is spacious and the simply painted walls and colourful décor add to the informal feel. The Father and son team of Silvano and Luciano Mora have done a commendable job in creating a modern setting for diners to relish some delicious Italian and Mediterranean fare. Start with a bowl of mussels dusted generously with Parmesan and seared beef carpaccio in a mustard dressing. Mains include ravioli d'aragosta, homemade lobster ravioli in a delicate tomato, basil and cream sauce, and grilled polenta with Tuscan sausage, ribolitta chick pea and bean stew. Before heading to the theatre choose a light meal of chicken liver mousse, melon and prawn salad or mushroom risotto from their pre-theatre menu.
