Langley, The Description
Adding to the fun on Covent Garden is The Langley, a vivacious place with a look that borders on industrial before eventually venturing into the more funky style that we're all comfortable with. The Geneva and Hudson are basement lounge bars that are evidently very successful with the working crowd out for a tipple and each of these have their own distinctive décor.
The restaurant serves delicious fare within the realms of a most eclectic menu with starters such as crispy duck and pancakes with cucumber, spring onions and hoisin sauce leading on to the more substantial offerings of char grilled prime sirloin steak with chips, mushrooms, grilled fresh tomato, and Béarnaise sauce. The evening menu also offers sandwiches, baguettes, nachos and platters should you be in the mood for just a nibble or two. The drinks list features cocktails, shooters, soft drinks, beers and a vast selection of fine wines.

The Langley is situated in the heart of Covent Garden. It’s a stone’s throw away from both the Seven Dials and Covent Garden Tube Station, it is a funky stylish basement bar with a cosy restaurant at its rear.
My partner and I were ambling around Covent Garden and stumbled across the Langley where we despite not having a booking dinned in their restaurant.
The restaurant is situated at the rear of the venue though small in comparison to the rest of the venue had a small cosy atmosphere. We enjoyed delicious fajitas and Chang Mai chicken, with wedges and spring rolls as starters, and various cocktails.
Although we didn't stay long, due to theatre engagements, the staff and service were quick and exactly what we wanted. I think The Langley is perfectly situated for pre theatre dining or drinks.
