In 1975 Agostino and Gerardo Crolla established their business in Raeburn Place and have prospered. Their prosperity is linked both with the burghers of Edinburgh and their own zeal for ensuring that whatever they did was done to the best of their ability. Their reputation for producing the best fish and chips and pizzas is well known and as successive refits have come and gone the quality has remained as high as ever. A high point was the award in 1996 in the Best Fish and Chip Shop of the Year title, a keenly contested title honour, resulting in L'Aquila Bianca receiving a Runner-up Award.Fish & Chip, Pizza & Pasta

We came across this takeaway 'by accident' a few years ago when we were staying in Edinburgh. The fish and chips were outstanding, and being from Yorkshire we know a thing or two about good fish and chips. Each time we visit Edinburgh, we make a special journey to enjoy the fish and chips. We haven't tried any other dishes. The members of staff are friendly and efficient.
