Latif Restaurant Description

Located in an elevated position on Newcastle's Clayton Street West, Latif offers customers a selection of food from Bangladesh and India. Ornate Victorian stairs lead to the dining room, with well-spaced tables spread out in elegant surroundings. Since the dining area is spacious, they can cater well for large groups too.
 
With a kitchen that specialises in Bangladeshi cuisine, the choices of mains include mild to very hot curries as well as vegetarian dishes. Their midweek buffet night and group set meals are popular.

I tried Latif last Wednesday in Newcastle. It was empty but the service was absolutely first class and genuine. The place is spotless and the food is simply the best I’ve ever tasted. The seekh kebabs were fresh and tasty and the chicken phal had an amazing heat, yet it had a great taste. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Newcastle.
