L'Auberge Restaurant

22 Upper Richmond Road, London, SW15 2RX

Dining in a French restaurant doesn't necessarily have to make you swoon when you see the prices on the menu because there are places like L'Auberge which are rapidly bridging the divide and bringing delicious fare from the neighbouring country within reach. This intimate and cosy eatery on Upper Richmond Road in Putney owned and run by Chef Pascal serves tasty food in a friendly and laidback atmosphere with its focus squarely resting on fine dining. From the à la carte, there could be starters of grilled snails brochettes, tomato, garlic and herb coulis followed by a main course of pan fried calf's liver with honey and lemon sauce. Fish lovers will certainly find the grilled fillets of sea bass with a pastis and fennel seed butter to be enticing and finally, desserts are not to be missed.

REVIEWS OF L'Auberge Restaurant

Nikkie Amouyal (27 April 2010)

I went for the first time this month for their gastronomic evening at L'Auberge and it was the best French meal I had for years and I'm originally from Paris! Each of the five dishes we had was a delight and I felt like my body was thanking me from the inside and the selection of wines recommended marred perfectly with what we had chosen. I can't believe I didn't know this restaurant before, so it's the reason why I write this review and spread the world. This is one of the finest French restaurants I ever been, so don't hesitate, go and taste the best France has to offer.

Barbara (5 September 2005)

Really good meal and service, great find.
