The eye-catching bright red exterior of this tapas bar is every bit as warm and welcoming as its staff. Laxeiro is family run and thrives thanks to much custom from the local flower market also situated on Columbia Road. The menu has all the classic tapas dishes and a few more interesting additions besides such as cheese stuffed artichokes, vegetable crepes and a wonderful garlic packed chicken. I have been to this restaurant once before. The place was great, good service and food; it has a cafe feel to it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Our first visit here on a busy Saturday lunchtime. The place doesn't look especially prepossessing- probably more like a modern cafe than a full-service restaurant, though pleasant enough. Tasty food, and a helpful waiter who explained the style of dish they offer - raciones rather than tapas so about twice the size, and that ideally we'd order four or five dishes between the two of us. We particularly enjoyed the tender suckling pig and the broad beans with bacon, but most of the dishes you'd expect to see in a Spanish restaurant are there. All told a perfectly decent meal and good value at a little over £40 with wine for two. We have often found Spanish food a disappointment; not so here and we'd certainly go again.
