Le Clarisse

Much has been written about Paris, a city inspired by artists, architecture and romance, and places like Le Clarisse could provide worthy introductions to culinary treasures waiting to be explored whilst on a vacation. Foie gras has always been an integral part of the French culinary lexicon and here they come in the form of terrines combining flavours of smoked eel and caramelised apples, and game and wild mushrooms. After spoonfuls of the delicious clarified Mediterranean fish stew with large prawns, clams, squid and rouille sauce, move on to try roast fillet and leg of Scottish grouse on toast of duck foie gras and finish with a Victoria pineapple carpaccio with caramelized zabaglione and margarita sorbet.

Located between Les Invalides and the Eiffel Tower, Le Clarisse is named after one of the ships captained by Robert Surcouf, a famous French corsair.
