Le Clarisse
29 Rue Surcouf, Paris, 75007
Much has been written about Paris, a city inspired by artists, architecture and romance, and places like Le Clarisse could provide worthy introductions to culinary treasures waiting to be explored whilst on a vacation. The black and gold colour schemes inside lend a delightfully warm and alluring aura to the décor and the mezzanine lounge is perfect for business lunches and private functions. Foie gras has always been an integral part of the French culinary lexicon and here they come in the form of terrines combining flavours of smoked eel and caramelised apples, and game and wild mushrooms. After spoonfuls of the delicious clarified Mediterranean fish stew with large prawns, clams, squid and rouille sauce, move on to try roast fillet and leg of Scottish grouse on toast of duck foie gras and finish with a Victoria pineapple carpaccio with caramelized zabaglione and margarita sorbet.Much has been written about Paris, a city inspired by artists, architecture and romance, and places like Le Clarisse could provide worthy introductions to culinary treasures waiting to be explored whilst on a vacation. REVIEWS OF Le Clarisse
Laura Cottin (1 October 2009)
It’s a beautiful French restaurant perfectly situated between Les Invalides and the Eiffel Tower. The cuisine at Le Clarisse is of an exceptional standard with dishes such as quail with morels or pays d’Oc lamb with chickpeas, candied vegetables and garlic butter. We had a perfect romantic meal for two. It’s a fabulous place with a fabulous meal, we love this place.
