This baronial hall has long-standing ties with the BBC. There is more than a whiff of the old days when things were done in a Reithian manner; when newsreaders wore black ties to address their listeners. The more commendable aspects of this philosophy are still entrenched in the dining room where a range of different menus set forth the wide variety of traditional dishes, well tinged with modern touches. Standards are high and as might be expected, the cellar reveals excellent discretion.
