Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons

Church Road, Great Milton, OX44 7PD

Raymond Blanc's description is that, "Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons is the fulfilment of a personal vision, a dream that one day I would create a hotel and restaurant in harmony where my guests would find perfection in food, comfort and service." I would agree with the use of the word 'perfection', but at a price. Raymond, one of the most delightful and respected men in the industry, surprisingly did not train to be a chef, instead he began as a waiter, but a passion to cook grew on him. At twenty-eight he opened his first restaurant in Oxford, winning awards by the score, before moving on to one of the most beautiful manor houses in England, and starting Le Manoir in 1984. Food is the great love of his life and he has achieved international recognition at Le Manoir, as well as being acclaimed as one of the most committed and inventive chefs in Britain.

REVIEWS OF Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons

Michelle (16 October 2007)

It’s absolutely out of this world. I took my husband there for his fiftieth birthday and we stayed one night. We had the ten course meal, all of which was spectacular, and they were very considerate of my pregnancy and limitation on certain foods. The service was outstanding throughout our stay and the hotel/grounds were wonderful. It is without doubt, the best meal and overnight experience in our lives.

Ian (15 June 2007)

There is not one single aspect of the restaurant or hotel that will not exceed your expectations many times over. We stayed for two nights and had one evening meal to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. If you have any concerns about price, be assured that you will leave being prepared to pay more. We chose the standard set meal and lost count of the number of courses - but all were a dream. I challenge anyone to say that they will ever eat a finer meal anywhere in their lifetime. Go there at least once before you die.
