Le Petit Auberge
283 Upper Street, Islington, London, N1 2TZ
Le Petit Auberge certainly has the trappings of a cosy French bistro, but it's more than just that, with good value food and a great atmosphere, it makes for a well-rounded dining experience. The interior is rather quirky with a generous sprinkling of knick knacks that may well turn out to be a conversation piece, but that's only till the food arrives. So make a start with those famed French crêpe stuffed with savoury fillings like ham and mushroom, and baby artichokes cooked in cream and red pesto, or if crêpe is not your thing, get adventurous with frogs legs in calvados and cream or grilled vodka marinated calamari. Sausages are sure to entice many diners, from the grilled Toulouse to the duck, orange and apricot version, whilst the kitchen team deftly combines flavours and textures to create the likes of rabbit casserole with tarragon mushrooms and mustard sauce and pan-fried boneless whole trout for main courses.Le Petit Auberge certainly has the trappings of a cosy French bistro, but it's more than just that, with good value food and a great atmosphere, it makes for a well-rounded dining experience. REVIEWS OF Le Petit Auberge
Ken L (7 January 2009)
I’ve been there several times for lunch. Excellent lunchtime set menus with a decent choice and amazing value for such good food. Service has always been friendly and attentive. It’s just a great place with a nice continental atmosphere.
Stewart Harris (26 November 2008)
I have eaten there on more than one occasion and have always found the staff helpful. The food is excellent and good value for the money. There is a good all round atmosphere. What more could one ask for? See you again soon.

With quality food, friendly staff, quick service and excellent value for money, Nando's is a great place to eat. Don't expect identikit, pre-fab restaurant interiors which are usually a staple of the larger chains; each restaurant is tailored to its local surroundings and customers, offering up a unique restaurant experience to go with the equally unique taste of legendary, Portuguese, Peri-Peri chicken.
