Le Petit Poisson Description
Le Petit Poisson is situated almost right on the beach - when the weather is fine you can sit outside looking at the boats come in and out of the little harbour, watch your children playing on the beach, while eating your meal.
Inside is cosy, only twenty two covers, the menu is on a blackboard and is a mixture of local and other fish offering an average of eight starters ranging from £4.25 to £5.50, with main courses from £8.95 to £12.95 and a specials board, so there should be plenty of choice for everyone. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with pleasant and friendly staff serving excellent food at a reasonable price.

The food was great and so were the prices. During weekends the service can be clumsy and slow – I had to wait twenty minutes before drinks were offered last weekend. I suggest you skip coffee; they make a decent black but nothing else. Desserts are good on a positive note.

After reading reviews, I don’t think you can go wrong with this little place. Twice baked crab soufflé, as a starter was excellent and so were the other starters. Our main meal of mussels was inedible, as too much salt was added. The family main meal of fish and fish stew was okay, but nothing to write home about. I was quite disappointed in general but maybe the chef had an ‘off day’. The place seems popular as there are many people eating there. It has a nice personal touch but I would not visit again.
