This Great Eastern Street restaurant offers delicious Italian cuisine in a sumptuous setting, the glittering chandeliers and glossy wooden flooring creating a distinct European feel, perfect for luncheon with a set of friends or a quiet celebration.

The menu demonstrates a combination of locally sourced seasonal produce with a few ingredients flown in from specialist suppliers in Italy, to create some remarkable Southern Italian fare. Starters of fresh scallops are served in their shells with wild garlic and olive oil, followed by grilled calf's liver with fennel and roasted tomatoes. Amongst pasta dishes, the homemade tagliolini with fresh clams, garlic, chilli and white wine is an excellent choice and finally, round off the meal with a luxurious dark chocolate truffle torte with orange sorbet.

The Jazz Bar at Lena is splendid, quite like a playing ground for talented young musicians, and of course, there's plenty to drink, either wines or cocktails.
