Les Trois Garcons Description

If you're bored with the fresh, minimal look of many of today's restaurants then this could be just what you are looking for. It has to be said that Les Trois Garcons is eccentric, what else would you call a place decorated with stuffed animals sporting sparkly tiaras! What's more whilst many restaurants boast a regularly changing menu here you get regularly changing décor as many of the items are for sale. Whilst it is obviously very easy to be distracted from the food in such surroundings, the menu is certainly worthy of your attention. The French inspired menu comprises dishes such as oven-roasted breast of duck and roasted fillet of beef stuffed with foie gras and black truffles that are every bit as decadent as the décor.

However, be prepared to pay quite a substantial price for a meal at Les Trois Garcons, even the house wine is £19.50, and some mark-ups on other bottles are extremely high.

It is easy to describe the place as unique, and I really cannot put it better than them: 'Each time you come you could be surprised, however, due to an ever-changing and eclectic decor, the candelabras that were on your table last night may have been replaced by your next visit. Bringing an element of performance to the dining experience, the trio sell most items within the restaurant (at the right price of course). With a menagerie of stuffed animals, most adorned with tiaras or other shimmering headgear, jewelled drapes, Murano glass ceiling lamps and gilded Victorian glass brewery panels as well as a huge Tiffany watch, there is much to see. The familiarity though arrives via proud and welcoming staff and a permanent menu theme as well as varied and interesting plats du jour from a French chef with a brief to be creative - all the elements of a classic restaurant.'

Certainly different.
