L'Etranger Restaurant Description

Imagine a menu that contains a basis in French food, but then mixes Japanese with Italian and Thai, and you have the enigma that is L'Etranger: dishes include a salad of confit duck and watermelon or anago eel suchi  with shiso and sancho sauce, or tuna spring roll with ginger, all decidedly Asian, but followed by Charolais peppered steak served perfectly pink with potato and shiso soufflé, much more European.

This cool venue in South Kensington seems to have gone down well with its clientele; it boasts the most amazing wine list with over 1000 wines, and the professional sommelier is excellent at giving helpful advice, a virtue recognised by the award of Sommelier of the Year in the Harpers and Moet 2005 Awards.
