Light, The Description
Bright and airy restaurant in a converted power station. Very popular with the City at lunch times giving way to trendy local crowd in the evenings. As well as 2 course daily special menu at £10.00, there is also a full a la carte and bar menu. Book early in the summer to take advantage of alfresco dining beneath canopy.
An ambitious menu could offer such delighted as seared scallop, leek and potato julienne with crème fraiche and lemon or Bresaola, field mushroom roasted with garlic, and crispy parmesan, followed by sea bass baked with white wine, saffron and cherry tomatoes with fennel mash or rosemary and mint crusted rump of lamb with Mediterranean vegetables.
With desserts such as: white chocolate tiramisu with dark chocolate sauce; passion fruit pannacotta with biscotti or mixed berry parfait with red wine sorbet.
