Lighthouse Restaurant
77 High Street, Aldeburgh, IP15 5AU
Now six years (2004) into providing for the music-lovers of Aldeburgh (and others) the Lighthouse goes from strength to strength. Un-fussed, informal in tone and popular to the point of saturation, you need to be quick. There is a daily change of menu so plenty of chance to make the best of availability and it will come as no surprise to discover that seafood is in the vanguard. However, if you want to maintain a balanced menu consider the potted Norfolk shrimps or dressed Cromer crab to start, followed by beef stroganoff with basmati rice and a vanilla crème brulee. Good selection of house wines at £14.95, or £2.75 a glass, with the remainder of an attractive list mostly at under £20.Now six years (2004) into providing for the music-lovers of Aldeburgh (and others) the Lighthouse goes from strength to strength. REVIEWS OF Lighthouse Restaurant
S Maunder (14 March 2010)
The lunch we had yesterday was delicious. The staff are keen and friendly without being sycophantic. It’s extremely good value.
Stevie D (22 August 2009)
It has great meals with a splendid, wide ranging menu, including an interesting wine list and friendly service. If you have only one night in Aldeburgh try to go there. It is highly recommended.
